Red Dirt Ready - For the 1st time in 50 years, Nike created a game-changing clay surface technology that moves beyond the traditional herringbone pattern. The grip on the inside of the shoe enables easier start-and-stop change-of-direction movements. Zonalized denser patterns in the medial forefoot and midfoot allow for traction and grip. A wide traction pattern on the outside of the shoe helps you slide with control.
Clay Tested - Nike leveraged traction maps, pressure maps and analyzed clay buildup areas to generatively design and place geometries to create the ideal outsole traction pattern. Additionally, we tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry) to produce the best possible on-court clay experience possible.
